Access Garden Cloche
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Access Garden Cloche is a modern interpretation of a traditional garden cloche with a sturdy aluminium frame shown painted in an optional hard wearing Antique Ivory powder coat finish.
- Aluminium framework
- 4mm Toughened safety glass
- Ideal for row crops
The two end panels can be removed in warmer weather or for making a run of cloches in a row. Gentle convection ventilation is provided by the slight gap between the side panels and the roof panels. For watering or cropping the two top glass panels lift out. The gap under each end panel can be blocked up with earth during cold spells.
The cloche is designed to be moved around the garden and is ideal for warming the soil prior to planting. Place in the soil in late January for early February planting.
The Access garden cloche is glazed in 4mm toughened safety glass ensuring the cloche will stay firmly on the ground even in high winds. Each pane can be removed for cleaning.
This garden cloche comes in standard plain aluminium finish, but can be powder coated Antique Ivory for a more traditional finish. Shown in Antique Ivory.
Based on traditional row cloches, such as the Chase Barn Cloche, the Access Cloche uses toughened glass for safety and removes the need for fiddly galvanised wires to hold the cloche together. Historically cloches were used in kitchen gardens for producing early or out of season vegetables. Crops such as winter lettuce can be planted in early February outdoors under the cloche.
An ideal present for a keen gardener! As well as being used as a Garden Cloche it can also be used as a shelter for Tortoises to bask under!

Having seen an Access Cloche at a RHS plant fair earlier this year, I bought one at Easter and am as pleased as Punch with it. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, everything fitted together well and the six toughened glass panes simply slot in. It looks and feels solid, and there’s nothing to rust, which is a big plus: full marks for producing something that’s so neat and simple.
