The 4’ aluminium Half Growhouse is designed to stand anywhere in the garden. At 2’ 8” (0.82m) tall, the Half Growhouse is ideal for bringing on seedlings in the Spring and over-wintering. The Half Growhouse does not need a special base, but will stand on a patio, gravel or even soil. This product has been chosen as a finalist in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show ‘Product of the Year’
Inside, there is plenty of space for plants. The Half Growhouse is ideal for taking more delicate plants through the Winter, bringing on plug plants in the springtime and growing Mediterranean summer crops such as Bush Tomatoes, Chillies and Peppers.
The sliding doors provide easy access into the Half Growhouse and allow infinitely variable ventilation – just an inch or so in the early spring to wide open in the summer. In addition, the roof panels slide open for easy access and superb summer ventilation.
Aluminium structure with 25 year framework guarantee and stainless steel fixings – designed to last a lifetime!
The 3mm toughened safety glass provides excellent light transmission and traps early spring heat much better than plastic sheets, and unlike plastic will not go milky with age. The glass will not flex in strong winds or under snow loads.
The narrow and wide seed tray shelves can be adjusted for height and can be removed or dropped flat when not required in summer. Slim aluminium bars reduce shading of the plants below.
As an option, the framework can be Colour Coated.
Optional extras include an automatic louvre vent, wooden raised base for soil grown crops, mist watering, shading for sunny locations and shelf covers for smaller pots.
Delivery is Extra Choose to collect from our warehouse, or standard delivery to mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland. Self-assembly with comprehensive instructions.

A truly superb product – sturdy and well designed. It is simple to put up as well (although the written instructions don’t quite match up with the pictorial instructions).
I already have an 8’x4′ Growhouse in my polytunnel and I recently added this half Growhouse – the idea being to give me more heated capacity in the unheated polytunnel. I am very impressed with both products. They are well made, straightforward to assemble, look great, and work very well. The half Growhouse replaced a ‘jumbo’ propagator which didn’t have much height at the sides and had a polythene cover which only lasted about a year. I use a Parasene heated cable in the 8’x4′(300W cable maintains a min temp of 10C in the early spring) and a heat mat in the half Growhouse (which I hope will give a minimum 20C for propagation early in the year). I did have a problem with the grey plastic handles slipping off the glass but these were replaced foc, and I get the impression if anything else went wrong then the customer service would be excellent.
I bought a 4ft Value Growhouse after much online comparison.I liked the design, the convenient top and front access and the construction seemed sound. It all arrived in good order and I built it in my garage- with all the bits I would not like to build outside. The instructions were well laid out but being comfortable with DIY helped. I have been pleased with my purchase. However, few gardens are free from blown leaves etc even bird droppings and I found the top panes prone to sticking unless the slides and tops are kept clean. I later bought the shelf covers which improves the shelf capacity. A Miller Balerno
The assembly was straight forward and everything fitted as it should. One point of weakness is the end plates which are easily bent outwards if struck by the front panels (which happens when they are stuck together) I plan to fit a strengthening bar to prevent further damage. I have fitted a slat base into the plinth and fitted a tube heater beneath for winter use. John
All good so far – the build was straightforward. We did it in the conservatory to avoid losing any of the small parts or having anything blown away by the wind. My only regret is not ordering a ground fixing kit as I wasn’t aware that one was needed for our build.
We purchased a 4 Foot Greenhouse which suited our needs both in terms of the size of our garden and our passion for growing-on plant plugs for our hanging baskets. The size of the greenhouse was ample for our overall needs. Although the written instructions are easy to follow and I did not encounter any problems I found that the video instructions were a very useful supplement when fitting the handles and channel liners.I did have the misfortune of breaking a glass panel during assembly but this replaced without hestitation foc. Overall the service I rec’d from begining to end was first class. The staff were very helpful and were only too willing to assist at any time.I am extremely satisfied with this product and would recommend it to people who have similar circumstances as mine.
