PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

For peace of mind we offer the option of  extending the Warranty to cover accidental breakage of the glass.

Access Mini greenhouses, Growhouses and Cold Frames use toughened safety glass for glazing. This provides better light transmission and heat retention than plastic and provides weight to ensure the frame stays on the ground even during storms.

Occasionally it is possible to break a glazing panel, and the ‘Accidental Glass Breakage Cover’ provides replacement sheets in the case of breakage due to accident or damage.

What is Covered

The cover will provide, free of charge, up to 6 replacement sheets of glass during the cover period and includes delivery costs and replacement handles. Glass will be shipped using a priority carrier. Cover commences on the date payment is made and continues until either the expiry date is reached or the 6 replacement sheets have been claimed (whichever is sooner). Glass broken before the cover is taken out will not be covered. For cover taken out subsequent to the delivery of the Mini greenhouse or Growhouse, no claims can be made within the first month.

The glass will be replaced free of charge if the glass is accidentally damaged during use or cleaning, or is accidentally damaged by: stones from mowers or strimmers, ball games or other children’s games or fruit falling from trees.

Exclusions

Unfortunately, like all warranties of this type, there are a number of exclusions. We have tried to keep them to a minimum but please read them carefully.

The cover excludes breakage from widespread violent storms, freak weather events, hurricanes, tornadoes, riots, war, terrorism or ‘Acts of God’.

Access cannot be held responsible for any breakages due to incorrect assembly or misuse of the framework. Where wall or floor fixings were provided or were available as an option, breakage due to the unit falling over will only be covered if the fixings were installed and fitted correctly. Deliberate breakage of the glass is excluded.

Access’ liability shall in no circumstances exceed the cost of any part, or parts, covered by this Guarantee. Access will not be liable for any loss of crop or profit or any other consequential loss.

The Extended Warranty is part of the contract of sale between Access and the original Purchaser and cannot be passed on, or assigned, to a third party.

The Extended Warranty applies to the United Kingdom. For offshore areas (including Northern Ireland) and northern Scotland, a carriage surcharge will apply to each claim to cover the extra cost of delivery. Models with non-standard glass are excluded.
